I’m thinking of moving from the theme I currently use over to SemPress but have been previously using featured images and excerpted posts on the landing page.

Is there a way in SemPress to hide the Featured Images so they do not display?

SemPress shows featured images only if they are set, it doesn’t make use of place-holders.

So I’d have to manually remove them from each post?

Oh, you need it for old posts too… That should be possible… I will code you a little plugin and will send you a link if it is finished…

Finally found a solution… This plugin should deactivate SemPress’ post thumbnail feature: https://gist.github.com/pfefferle/5160340
