Remove featured image when no image set?

  • Hi i need some help

I am making a portfolio website using the spun theme.
I have inserted galleries using portfolio slideshow which i really like
But i want the circles on the home page to view just the words instead of the images.
There is not a featured image set but it is still showing a image on the home page?
    Help!!

    thanks

Spun will attempt to pull the post’s first attached image by default if no Featured Image is set.

You can un-attach all images from your posts, uploading images through the Media tab in your Dashboard instead, or you can create a child theme and copy over the parent theme’s content-home.php file, then modify it to only display the post title.

Hi Caroline, thanks for a great theme!
I am having the same issue – and cant seem to get it right.
Is creating a child theme and editing it the only way to have images still appear in a post but have the homepage circle appear with only text? If so, could you give details on how to edit the child theme to make this happen?

Is it possible to do this for some posts but not others? i have some posts that I would like to appear as images and some as text on the homepage but almost all of the posts contain images.

    thanks!
