Support » Plugin: Business Directory Plugin - Easy Listing Directories for WordPress » Remove featured image and page title but leave logo/thumbnail

    I want to remove the page title, large image and breadcrumbs and just start with the listing title (in blue), with the logo/thumbnail beneath.

    I tried using a custom css stylesheet (wpbdp.css), per your instructions, with the following. It worked, but it made the change across the site, on all posts and pages etc. I just need it to change on the business directory listing pages.

    .entry-title{
    display:none;
    }

    header.entry-header-outer {
    display: none;
    }

    .single-featured-image {
    display: none;
    }

    Hi @jdema,

    Thanks for posting your question here.

    Some things like this are covered in your theme settings. For example, the Astra theme lets me customize how custom post types are displayed, so you might dig deep in your theme settings on this one.

    You should be able to remove the featured image in the post itself, as that is a WordPress default and there is no CSS class to remove it only from Business Directory Plugin listings. Again, your theme may have settings to override that.

    There are advanced techniques in CSS to remove these things, but providing those is beyond the scope of support we can offer here. I would recommend searching the support docs for the theme you are using to find those site-wide settings to see how to remove them on custom post types only.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!

    Thank you, bobbied. I don’t think my theme allows you to customize custom post types in the way you’re describing. I have written their support.

    If I upgrade to a basic plan would you (or someone on your team) be able to help me with this?

    Hi @jdema

    Unfortunately, with our hefty feature list and our ongoing support work, we lack the bandwidth to do that kind of customization for sites. There are a few great resources to help you out here.

    1) Codeable has WordPress expert developers available for short-term projects
    2) Tilden Tasks does longer WordPress tasks, but they break it down to 1 task per day.
    3) Upwork (formerly known as oDesk) to help out if you think this is beyond your current skill set. There’s a lot of decent folks on there as well.

    Best,

    ~Bobbie
