Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Conversion Tracking » Remove FB Pixel in GTM if using this plugin?

  • Hello, to use this plugin, is it necessary to remove existing Facebook pixel codes in Google Tag Manager (GTM), to avoid any issues or overlap?

If yes, would this still be necessary if we only load your plugin resources on WooCommerce pages, instead of site wide?

Yes, you don’t need or shouldn’t use the same pixel twice. It doesn’t add any value. For any tracking pixels, either Facebook, Twitter, or Google Ads, it’s recommended to use the scripts on all pages.

Since this plugin adds the code sitewide, you can remove your code from GTM. Removing from GTM will be easier as there is no way to remove the script from the plugin.

it’s recommended to use the scripts on all pages.

—> Can you explain why this is the case? I believe they all have docs explaining how to fire certain tags or codes on certain pages where they are relevant. This would reduce site load time too, which is needed to pass Google’s new Core Web Vitals.

there is no way to remove the script from the plugin.

I have Asset Manager installed for this reason. Why wouldn’t your plugin have the ability to remove its scripts?

All plugins should have some sort of php filter to remove certain actions or what not, right? Can you tell me what those would be for your plugin?

I’m not clear how it can be possible that there would be “no way” to remove scripts from your plugin. Can you explain?

    Are they all inline?
