# Remove email link from sidebar

 * Hi,
    Is there a way to remove the email button from the side bar (Or better yet
   replace the functionality of that icon with a link to the contact us page?)? 
   I can only find options to chose how many buttons?

 * Thanks for letting us know about your issue.
 * You can use the addthis_config JavaScript variable to customize this. [Documentation on the addthis_config variable](https://www.addthis.com/academy/the-addthis_config-variable/).
 * In the Advanced Options part of the plugin, under Additional Options, there’s
   a text area for the addthis_config variable. You can enter JSON there to customize
   behavior.
 * The example there shows how to use `services_exclude` to exclude the print option.
   You can tweak that slightly to exclude any of our other services. We have several
   mail service options, so I’m not sure which one you’re interested in. Here is
