# Remove edit bar?

 * Can anyone tell me how to remove the edit bar in v3.5 that appears at the top
   of the site when I’m logged in?
 * I found a [topic in the forum](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-do-i-get-rid-of-the-editing-bar-at-the-top-of-my-web-browser?replies=2)
   that said it could be done in General Settings, although that was a year ago,
   so I assume it’s been changed in later versions.

 * In your WordPress Dashboard, go to “Users”, then in “Your profile”.
    Untick the
   box near “Display the toolbar when…”
