Support » Plugin: Easy Digital Downloads - Free Download » Remove download button after download limit is realized?

  • By default, the download limit notification doesn’t happen until the user clicks the button to download, then gets to the page that says “your download will start shortly or click here,” and then the limit message appears.

Is it possible to check the status of the download limit earlier, and disable the button if the limit has been met?

In the current setup, after you get the limit met message, the only way out is to click the browser back button twice, which is awkward. If you click it only once, it goes back to the auto-download page, which then just puts you into a loop going to the limit met message again.

  • Any chance I can get some feedback on this? I would love to avoid having the user click the download link and get to the download page and then get the wp_die error message if they’re trying to download for a 2nd time – it’s 2 extra pages they shouldn’t have to go through.
