  • Hi there.

    Always happy to help 🙂

Are you referring the the default custom marker set in the ‘Advanced Settings’ tab, or the custom marker that is specific to each marker you add?

I’d like to know how to do this as well. In my case, I’ve assigned a marker to a specific listing within a map.

    Hi @gocreative

Just to confirm, would you like to reset your custom marker? This can be done by going to ‘Maps’ -> ‘Edit’ -> ‘Advanced’ and resetting it there.

No, I have edited a specific location (one of the pins on my map) and changed the map marker for that pin only — NOT the entire map.

    Hi there

You can then edit that marker and remove the URL to the custom marker – this will revert it back to the original red pin. Does this help?

There’s no field which shows the URL of the custom marker. That’s what I’ve been looking for all along but it doesn’t exist.

    Hi @gocreative

Are you a Pro user? This functionality is only available in the Pro version.

If you are, please get in touch with me on http://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/ so that I can assist you further.

No, I’m not a Pro user. But are you saying that in the free version, once you’ve set a custom marker image for one of the pins on a map, it’s impossible to remove it? I ended up having to save a copy of the default pin image from the plugin folder, upload that via Media Library in WordPress, and assign it as the custom image for the marker in question. So that’s fine now, but I’m still not seeing any markers/pins appear on my map whatsoever.

    Hi @gocreative

The marker will use the ‘default’ marker at the time and assign that icon to that marker – changing this will require you removing the marker and then adding it again with the default marker being changed as ‘advanced markers’ are a Pro only feature.

Is http://northstarsprayers.com.au/stockists/ the only site you’re experiencing issues on? Or another site that you can send me a link to as well?

OK, thanks for clarifying. And yes, that’s the site with the issue. I’m not aware of any others as I have avoided upgrading the plugin on other sites that use it. This particular site uses the Enfold theme, but there’s never been a problem before the upgrade to version 6.3.18.

Actually, I’ve just realised that this site is actually using the Pro add-on. Also just confirming that I have already been through all of the troubleshooting steps you provided on your website (e.g. deactivating/reactivating, checking the XML folder path exists, etc).
