# Remove Comments box from individual posts.

 * Sorry, there must be a million threads on this topic, but most appear to be old.
   And also sorry, I am a complete n00b at WordPress.
 * When I go to edit an individual page, I see no option to allow or hide the comment
   box.
 * Am I looking in the wrong place?

 * You can switch off comments from your WordPress settings though the comments 
   section might still appear.
 * In that case you have to remove the code from your Theme by removing the loading
   of comments section from the single.php (i.e. the template used for single blog
   post display).

 * Click on screen option on the top right hand corner of your editor. A group of
   check boxes will appear. Check discussion and return to the bottom left of the
   editor and UN-CHECK the box Allow comments. This will do the job for you.

 * I am sorry my suggestion was related to removing comments box throughout the 
   whole website. My mistake. Krishna’s suggestion is the correct one.
