 * What branding are you referring to exactly?
 * Thing is, if you use any plugins, or probably even without, a semi-knowledgeable
   person can still tell your using wordpress just by viewing your source code

 * By removing ‘branding’ if you mean removing the WordPress credit links at footer,
   you are allowed to do so.
 * WordPress is an open source software which allows users to remove any credits
   or links on default.
