remove bottom menu

    Hello,

    I am new to wordpress.

    May I know whether I can remove the bottom black menu box that lists archives, meta & categories? OR how can I modify it, please?

    Hi,

    Go to WordPress Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widget and remove widget from all footer sidebars.

    I don’t understand these instructions. All of my widget sidebars are empty according to the Dashboard but my page still shows the big ugly box with “archives, meta and categories”. Can I delete the box entirely?

    I had the same problem WriterLaurenSargeant. In the Widget area, I had nothing in those boxes either.

    To get rid of the Meta, Categories areas, just add different Widgets that you want in the Footers areas. So the bottom black footer menu has 3 areas.

    first-footer-widget-area
    second-footer-widget-area
    third-footer-widget-area

    Just drag your preferred widgets into those areas and it will replace the default ones.
