However, there is an annoying borse around the top and left of it. i want to remove the border.
Can someone tell me EXACTLY what i need to do in the CSS – as i have been messing around with it and it is not working.
Thanks alot

The border is from:
#content img, #content p img { background: #FFFFFF; padding: 4px; border: 1px solid #E6E6E6; }
To remove border locate the above styles in:
http://www.graceleepromotions.com/beyourbestasia/wp-content/themes/platinum/style.cssand change to:
#content img, #content p img { background: #FFFFFF; padding: 4px; border: 0; }
I believe that you can do this from your WordPress dashboard in Appearance > Editor > style.css
if the image border still shows you can do this as well:
#content img, #content p img { background: #FFFFFF; padding: 4px; border: 0 !important; }
border: 0 !important; is if there is an additional stylesheet i.e. WordPress Parent Theme a/k/a framework.

Also i dont want to remove all borders, i just want to remove from the slideshow… any ideas?
Try
#rotator img { border: 0 !important; }
You can also get official theme support from the author as well http://www.studiopress.com/support/forumdisplay.php?f=147

hey Emil – still has the line after i added that last bit of code…
hmmm any idea ?
You help is much appreciated!
This is Genesis Framework correct? My guess is that you have one more style in your framework that’s overwriting this.
Ah, you have this as well, simply change this to 0 and border should be removed.
#featured-home .widget { border: 0; }
hey Emil – great that worked on removing the border!!
But – it has removed the border from other banners, text widgets etc on the homepage.
How do i set it just to remove from my top banner (its name is text-4 i think)
So in that case:
#text-4 { border: 0 !important; }
keep all other styles in, just set border to zero 0
that seems to have worked nicely! thanks for your help 🙂
Actually i have just looked at it and now the border is gone, but when each slide changes picture, it sort of does a little jump where the pic changes size a tiny amount – but quite noticable…. arrrrgh.
Any idea why and how to stop this so they change smoothly as before they did?
We just removed the border, that’s all. You can try adding padding: 0;
#text-4 { border: 0 !important; padding: 0 !important; }
Now that we took down the border there’s a slight gap in your slider.
excellent – it is running smoothly now! very big thanks for your assitance 🙂
No problem, glad to help, if there is nothing else please mark this topic resolved from your end.
