# Remove Author Meta Information

 * Hi there – I’m new to CPTUI and could use some help. I created a CPT and created
   a few pages. When I view the pages, there is a “by admin” link that takes people
   to an author page. Is there a way to remove “by admin” and the link? I don’t 
   want any author information to show up. I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!

   be something you need o customize/edit at the theme level. It’s not something
   we have any sort of settings for.

   to WordPress.

 * Best I can offer outside of the link I already provided, is [https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/](https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/)
 * At bare minimum, it’s going to take a some php/html knowledge to either remove
   it conditionally, or to remove the right part in a duplicated template file that’ll
   get used for just this post type.
