[resolved] Remove author information (5 posts)

I'm using Mystile theme (Woothemes) with Testimonials plugin. I really like it in the widget, but when I'm creating a page to display all the tesimonials, I'm having some trouble: http://noutis.es/testimonials/

I tried creating a Testimonial Page template with the php function and also applying the default template to the page and adding the code as a shortcode. Either way, arguments are not working at all. I wish I could just delete the author information but I can't seem to do it!

I even got inside the plugin templates and try to remove it all manually but it just doesn't seem to change a thing.

    Hi redapplepuzzle,

    Thanks for your query. :)

To clarify, the link provided isn't using the "Testimonials" template tag. The "/testimonials" permalink is for the default testimonials archive.

This is a template file controlled by the theme. While the plugin does provide the "display_author" parameter for turning the author information on and off, the link provided isn't using the "Testimonials" template tag.

To customise this screen, please make a copy of the "content.php" file in your theme, rename it to "content-tesitmonial.php" and customise to suit. This is the file that controls the display of each individual testimonial. :)

    Thanks and regards,

Thanks for this, I never would have worked this out. I had also made a custom template for the testimonials page but it only worked after reading this post and changing url of the page from 'testimonials' to 'client-testimonials'

    thanks! :)

Matty, can you please clarify what customization would need to be made to the content-testimonial.php in order to turn the author information off?

    Hi wigwam22,

You'd comment out the use of the woo_post_meta() function. :)
