    Hey, there!

I’m looking for a way to solve this issue and when searching the forum, I see I have to ask the theme forum (or plugin forum, if applicable). So I hope I’m doing it the right way 🙂

That said, for some reason, Google has indexed and added to its search results the “author” section and I don’t know what I should do to stop indexing it and therefore disappear from the results…

Could someone help me with this, please? Thank you very much!

    Hi @camilei,

You’re doing it the right way! When you say “author section”, do you mean the author archive page (as in domain.com/author/[username])?

Hi @anlino, thank you for your quick reply!
Yes, exactly. In this case, when I searched “rulos de carbon”, I saw as a second result https://rulosdecarbon.com/author/admin (of course it’s not admin my username hehe)
Well, this is strange because I deleted my historial and when I google it, it doesn’t appear now in the results…. Ok, I am really lost now because I don’t know if it’s indexed or not :’)

    Thank you in advance!

@camilei Google will modify the results a bit based on your browser history and other factors, but since you saw it earlier, they still have the page indexed. You can find some tips on how to hide specific WordPress pages from Google in this tutorial: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-hide-a-wordpress-page-from-google/

If you have Google Search Console set up for your domain, you can also use the Removals Tool to make Google remove the URL from the search results. It will likely be quicker, but it will only effect the search results on Google, while the methods in the tutorial linked above will work for all search engines.
