First, I read through some fixes that have not worked for me. It’s possible I missed some.

Normally, I would just go to my pages… click on my page (Events) and put whatever I want there. It actually shows “Events”, but when the plugin for Events Calendar is active the header on my Events page displays “Archives:” IF MONTH VIEW is selected… or it displays “Archives: Events” if either LIST OR DAY VIEW is selected. If I just disable the Events Calendar, my Events page displays “Events”, as I have set for my events page. However, when I have the Events Calendar active, I get this “Archives:” headers, I do not want. I’m not sure where the code or whatever originates that is placing this at the top of my page, and I’d like to remove it.

This did not work – Events > Settings > Display and make sure the calendar template setting is set to “Default Events Template”
