    Hi Steve,
No. I eventually un-installed the plugin. It became too annoying and I didn’t have time to troubleshoot. I’m going to revisit it soon, though, and will post here once I have a solution. It would be nice if the Wordfence folks would answer this.
    Thanks,
    Keith

    Hi Keith,

This is actually a serious problem that indicates Wordfence isn’t functioning correctly.

What is supposed to happen when you close that dialog is that Wordfence writes an entry into the database saying that you closed it and to not show it again. That is not happening which means that either Wordfence can’t write to your DB or that ajax requests aren’t functioning on your site.

    Regards,

    Mark.

    Hi Mark,
Thanks for responding. I have some other plugins that R/W the DB routinely (one is a form plugin, for example) and they seem to be working fine. I’m also pretty sure ajax works since that is inherent in WordPress itself. We aren’t seeing any other errors. So, beyond that, I’m not sure what’s missing.
    Thanks,
    Keith
