Hi Steve, Thanks for you plugin. It looks like it should be able to do exactly what we need (and more) but the one operation that doesn’t seem supported on the free version (unless I’m mistaken) is the ability to “remove terms from all Pages” – say, without uploading all the terms manually first? If that makes sense?

IE That wording is from your Manage Terms page that does have this functionality which also states that ‘Terms will be removed from all Pages if no “Terms(s) to match” is specified’ but in testing that on the free version the UI feeds back with “No term(s) specified for removal!”

We also have a lot of terms of the site in question and so adding them one by one via the interface isn’t optimal and pasting them in doesn’t seem supported either (as far as I can tell).

And so the real question/s on this is…
    1. Have a got that wrong – and is this possible on the free version (if I do it right); or
    2. Do I need the Pro version for this (and how much is it)? or
    3. Is that above requirement not supported at all?*

*NB I would love to be able to either specify that I want to remove all terms from the XXX taxonomy across all page/cpt’s or as you have it right now from select pages/CPTs, where the key requirement is not to have to manually input every term used in the site. Any other advice along these lines would be greatly appreciated – but that’s the query/use case in mind.

    Many thanks meantime,

Hi @quantoscolin. Thanks for using TaxoPress.

Sorry, I don’t 100% understand the specific question here.

If you go to “Manage Terms” then the “Remove Terms” tab you can quickly remove any terms from being attached to content.

Thanks Steve and sorry for the slow reply. The question rephrased is really “is there a way of removing all terms WITHOUT inputting all the terms first?”

Where in our case we have a lot terms we want to clear out. The ‘remove terms’ functionality works great when you do want to remove individual terms as well as a selection of terms.

    Many thanks

You can go to the “Terms” screen, select all terms and use the “Bulk Edit” option to delete them.

many thanks Steve – although I want to remove them (from pages/posts) and not delete them – but don’t worry the plugin looks great, I’ll delve into the documentation and test further directly. Many thanks again for the replies. Much appreciated.
