  • Your site is not currently using a Child Theme… Did you activate it?

At the top of every forum there is a button “Add New” – clicking that gives you the new post form.

I have activated it now – sorry I thought I only went into the child theme editor when i wanted to make changes, update the file then go back to the original twenty eleven I had which has all the colour and background settings. Do I have to start over with settings in the child theme>

I’m sorry but I do not see any button “add new” on any forum page to enable me to do a new post

can you just put me right on child theme – when I create it do I then use it exclusively when I am maintaining my site?

Yes, you ONLY make changes to the child theme – they won’t show up on the parent theme anyway – so that would be pointless :).

Yes you do have to redo theme settings and options in the child theme – those do not transfer – it’s like using any other new theme.

At the top of this page : http://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting Right next to the Title above the forum list of posts “How To and Troubleshooting” there is a button with “Add New”
