  • This is my first time converting a html page to a WordPress custom theme. I got most of the conversion completed, but I have a WordPress admin menu displaying after the end of my PHP page on the bottom left side. How do I remove this menu?

This looks like something the WordPress system is generating because it is not part of my code.

    Broswer Tests:
Safari – WP admin menu on bottom left outside of my php page.
IE – Menu wraps to next line (could be caused by this admin menu?)
    Firefox – Page looks correct

  • I don’t see anything extra. Are you logged into the site? If so, you are probably seeing the admin bar. If it is appearing along the bottom you must have a plugin or a function that is moving it to the bottom.

Admin Bar – contains various links to useful admin screens. By default, the admin bar is displayed when a user is logged in and visiting the site and is not displayed in admin screens for single blog installs. For multisite installs, the admin bar is displayed both when visiting the site and in the admin screens.

Thanks for looking into this issue for me. The reason why you did not see the WP admin menu on the bottom of my pages is because I found a solution while I was waiting for a reply.

I added this style to my style.css file: #wpadminbar {display:none;} and it removed the admin menu from the bottom of all my WP pages.
