I do WP installs for clients. Well, actually, our techs do the installs and I take it from there. Been doing it a while, got my own blogs on WP.com, and I’m fairy familiar with all sorts of WordPressy things.
However, upon taking over a client’s existing local WP install I discovered the framework (for 3.1.3) had been altered to remove the WYSIWYG (Visual) editing capabilities including the editor toolbox and, to my surprise, the core update file had been entirely removed. The client isn’t knowledgeable and their previous webfolk claim ignorance. Let’s skip my suspicions regarding the cause.
The questions are:
A. Can I use the 3.3.1 update file to successfully bring 3.1.3 to 3.3.1 without harming the integrity of the install (and save me having to export/import the content)?
B. If not, then where would I get my hands on the 3.1.3 core update file?
Thanks in advance!
