While completing a test, if you accidentally press the back button or scroll down the page and refresh, the test reloads from the beginning. I don’t think it’s a very pleasant thing and I think a dialog box is required to request confirmation of leaving the test.

    Hi @dadrian50 ,

I hope you’re doing great! Thank you for reaching out to us.

We truly appreciate your thoughtful suggestion about improving the quiz experience—specifically, your idea of showing a confirmation dialog box when users accidentally press the back button, instead of restarting the quiz from the beginning. This is a great way to enhance the user experience, and we value your input.

I’d like to inform you that the functionality you’re looking for is available, but it requires advanced customization that falls under our Pro support scope. As per the WordPress.org support forum guidelines we are not permitted to discuss or promote Pro features directly on the forum.

To proceed, I kindly request you to submit a ticket via our support form at: https://quizandsurveymaster.com/contact-support/
Once submitted, I’ll be able to provide you with more specific and relevant guidance to help you achieve the desired functionality.

Thank you for your time and cooperation. We’re here to help you make the most of your experience with our plugin.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush

You’re telling me that an option that prevents accidental exit from the test is an option that already exists in pro? That’s a bad joke.
I have the impression that you use us to test your plugin, to come up with feedback and ideas that are absolutely necessary for the correct functioning of the plugin, and you implement them in the pro packages.
I’m sorry guys, but you won’t hear anything from me anymore and I’m moving on to another plugin.

    Hi @dadrian50 ,

I hope you had a great weekend! Apologies for the delayed response.

First and foremost, we sincerely apologize if our previous reply caused any inconvenience or came across the wrong way. We truly appreciate your feedback and suggestions. As part of the QSM family, your input means a lot to us, and we’re grateful for your continued support.

Regarding the feature you mentioned, as I previously noted, it is part of our Pro offerings. Due to WordPress.org forum guidelines, I’m unable to go into further detail here. However, I kindly encourage you to create a support task using the link I shared earlier. This will allow our team to assist you more thoroughly with the specific functionality you’re looking for and ensure you’re aware of all the available options.

We’re confident you’ll receive the assistance and clarity you need. If there’s anything else we can help with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

    Best regards,

Sorry, I switched to another plugin. The new plugin has everything I wrote and asked for so far. So I’m not the only one who saw a need in those requirements.

    1. It has an alert dialog if you want to close the page, if you refresh by mistake, etc. It’s absurd to say that this is a premium feature. It’s like saying “I’m asking you if you’re sure you want to delete only if you pay more”.

    2. The questions are displayed in the desired order of the categories. Even if they are random. That way, I can make a test in which math is first, then physics, then chemistry, etc. Not a mix, like in your plugin.

    3. It has “report question”. The user can report a question if there is something wrong with it. With yours, you had to print screen, send by email, etc. With the new one, report the question and I go directly to it and see what the problem is.

    4. Loading gif while the results are loading. Notice that I have reported all of these to you so far and you have not done any of them.

    5. It has no cache problems, it has no problem that sometimes it loads fewer questions in the results, the problem that several users have reported to you.

    6. It has the possibility to export pdf results, even to send pdf result as attached in email. In that way, the user will always have access to his results without the internet connection and no link to access the server again.

The only thing I miss in the new plugin is the “upload image” option.

So, with regret, I have given up on your plugin.

    Hi @dadrian50 ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I sincerely appreciate your decision and the trust you’ve placed in our plugin over time. It’s truly been a pleasure having a supportive user like you, and we’re grateful for the role you’ve played in helping us improve through your insights and suggestions.

I want to acknowledge the issues you recently reported and extend my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Please know that we’ve already escalated your feedback to our development team—especially regarding GIF support and other requested enhancements. These areas are being actively reviewed and considered for upcoming updates.

We’re continuously working hard to bring meaningful improvements and aim to take the plugin to the next level with innovative and user-friendly features. While we understand and respect your current decision, we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime in the future, should you reconsider.

In the meantime, I’m here if you need any further assistance or have additional suggestions—we value your input greatly.

Thank you once again for your time, patience, and cooperation.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush

    Hi!

In 10.2.1 appear “Added setting to toggle quiz reload warning”. But where is this option? When i refresh te page the quiz still reload with other questions.

    At the same time:

    0. You haven’t solved the problem with importing the questions. They are imported the same way, with the HTML code in visual mode and, in order to appear ok, you have to “Save” each question (you also posted a video, earlier, showing how to save the question again to appear properly). It makes no sense to save again an imported question that already exists. And, besides, how the hell i suppose to save, again, over 1000 imported questions?!
    1. There is no “question bank” and you keep talking about it in updates. I installed the plugin on a clean WordPress site and there is no question bank option.
    2. What is “Failed Database Queries”?
If I click “Check If Already Fixed” only a red X appears, no text.
    3. The Latex (Mathjax) part has problems after this last update. On some questions it duplicates the latex code, I wake up with two equations written one after the other, and the answers are all duplicated one next the other. Until now was not such problem.
    4. You have a lot of errors, especially in tex-mml-chtml.js.
    5. Nothing has been solved with the most important option, keeping the order of the categories when we have random questions. It still does randomization in categories, which is absurd.

I don’t know, but it seems like your updates are making it worse and worse, not better.

That’s it, I’ve been using quiz maker for some time. And to understand what support means, I received a customized version especially for me, which generates a pdf with the results and attaches it to the email sent after solving the test. And I paid, a single payment of 50 dollars, for the smallest non-free option.
There’s no point in telling you what it offers (it has a lot of options). Surely you know very well. But you don’t do anything to improve the plugin.

Any question or solution I find is for all users. So I prefer that discussions be public, not punctual, private solutions. I asked a simple question. Where is the option to prevent accidental closing of the test or accidental refresh that leads to reloading the test with other questions, without the user finishing their test. In the last two updates you wrote that you implemented this and that you improved it. I can’t find it at all. When I refresh the page which often happens, by mistake, especially on the phone, the test reload with other questions. By, by my first test, which I have solved 90%, and welcome other questions. This is frustrating and is about functionality, not extra options. :))

    Hi @dadrian50 ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

Firstly, I want to sincerely thank you for your willingness to not only find solutions for yourself but also help others in the process. It’s genuinely admirable, and something we truly value.

I also want to extend my apologies if any of my previous responses caused confusion or inconvenience—especially regarding the feature you were hoping to see implemented. I understand that our last two updates may not have fully met your expectations, and I appreciate your patience as you’ve explored alternative solutions.

Please know that we take your feedback seriously. The suggestions and insights you’ve shared are incredibly helpful, and we’ve passed them along to our development team for further review. While we cannot guarantee a timeline, features like preventing the accidental closure of quizzes are certainly under consideration as part of our ongoing effort to improve the plugin experience for all users.

Thank you again for your cooperation, valuable input, and continued support.

    Best regards,

Bro…what are you talking about “future features…”? looool….

This is your changelog for the last two updates.

    10.2.1 ( June 11, 2025 )
Feature: Added option to display a limited number of random answer choices, always including the correct one
Enhancement: Added setting to toggle quiz reload warning
    10.2.0 ( May 21, 2025 )
Feature: Added server-side validation for contact form fields
Feature: Added option to filter questions by type in the question bank
Enhancement: Added ability to insert answers at any position
Enhancement: Refined UI and messaging for popups and alerts
Enhancement: Added alert to prevent accidental reloads

What does the bold text represent if not what I asked?! quiz reload, accidental reloads…???!!! Where are they?
Are you saying you wrote something there that wasn’t implemented yet?

    Hi @dadrian50 ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

I sincerely apologize if any of the information I previously shared was unclear or led to any confusion. I truly appreciate your effort in reviewing the changelog from the last two QSM plugin updates.

Regarding your request for a option to prevent accidental exit from the test — as I mentioned earlier, this exact functionality is not currently available in the free version. While we do have additional features in our premium support offerings, we are limited in how much we can elaborate on them publicly due to WordPress.org forum guidelines, which restrict promotion or discussion of commercial products.

That said, we genuinely value your feedback, and I’ve already shared your suggestion with our development team. We’ll be reviewing the feasibility of including such a feature in a future update, based on user demand and technical viability.

Once again, I apologize for any misunderstanding caused from my end, and I thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best regards,
    Dhanush
