    1) Is there a way to use relative paths for the images inserted using Siteorigin Hero image or the Siteorigin Image widget?
    Currently after the image is uploaded into the gallery, and inserted, the image path is absolute.
    The need for using relative image paths images is to make it easy for future migration to a different domain name and directory.

    2) What are the best practices for migrating new website to a different domain which already has a live website, different theme, and different directory name?

    Unfortunately not that I’m aware.

    I did a quick search on my phone now, perhaps you can use: https://wordpress.org/plugins/relative-image-urls/. Test with care though. Also keep in mind that you can use the SiteOrigin Editor widget instead of the image widget if needs be.

    Duplicator plugin is by far our favorite tool for site migration.

    In your suggestion to use Siteorigin Editor widget instead of the image widget, I assume you meant insert the image path as text, and not use ‘Add Media’ since that too uses the full path to the image? If using text was indeed your suggestion, can you help with the relative path syntax for below:

    http://MyDomainNamee.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/MyImageName.png

    I am new at this, and appreciate all your help.

    Also, if using relative path, will that be compatible with the “Smush Image” plugin already used to resize, optimize, optimize and compress all of the website images? Also for new images uploaded to same website, will the path of each have to be retyped with relative path?

    The goal is to have seamless migration on the future, with or without the use of Duplicator plugin.

    Thanks for the feedback. I wish I could dive deeper into this topic with you but unfortunately, our free support scope is quite limited. Due to time and resource constraints, we’re only able to assist here with challenges that directly relate to the usage of our plugins and themes. I did do a quick search on this topic when you first posted and there were a few posts discussing it, perhaps there might be some help out there. Sorry, we don’t have more here.
