Within a CPT (real estate) I have created several taxonomies (type, bedrooms, bathrooms, location, area).
I use the Search & Filter plugin as a search engine in which, for each taxonomy, all available options appear.
I want that depending on the value chosen within a taxonomy, in the other taxonomies they show only the values that are related to it.
    Example:
If I select a “type” of property, in the other taxonomies only the values that exist in relation to “type” should appear.

In Pods, within each taxonomy I have created related fields between them but it does not work.
Am I doing it wrong or is there a better way to do it?

You don’t need to relate taxonomies. By filtering on the first taxonomy, only the ones that still match in the filtered group will show. Use Search & Filter to do what it does naturally. Don’t try to over-think it.

There is never a reason to link taxonomies unless you’re using it in an interface to limit choices for input.

If you want to see that in action, go to: https://docs.pods.io/search/

That’s using FacetWP but the filtering is the same.

    Hi Jim

I’m using Search & Filter but it doesn’t behave that way, that’s why I thought that taxonomies or something like that should be related. I guess it doesn’t because I’m using the free version.

    Thank you
