    Hello,

    The search for related products in the back of a product sheet and in the list of woocommerce products does not work correctly.

    For example there are products beginning with “mélange”, by typing mixture in the search for related products of the back of a product sheet, one cannot find the products beginning with “mélange”.

    Strangely, you can find “mélange” products by typing “lentilles”.

    By doing a search in the list of woocommerce products in the backoffice, we only see products beginning with “mélange” after products that do not contain this word in their title.

    Shouldn’t woocommerce search sort results by title?
    Is there a woocommerce parameter or code that you just need to modify?
    Is this behavior abnormal?

    Hi @crobrw,

    This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same behavior after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated.

    Reactivate the theme first and check again. Then, go on and reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    Please make sure you have a backup in place of your site and database. You could also consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site to the previous state.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your fast complete response !
    I performed the steps you listed for me but the problem persists.

    It’s not caused by theme or plugins then.

    Could it be caused by :
    Product encoding ?
    Corrupt database ?
    Woocommerce ?

    How to check these possibilities ?

    Hi @crobrw,

    This is a bit strange and I couldn’t reproduce the issue on my test site. Make a backup and clear WooCommerce transients from WooCommerce > Status > Tools. Also, make sure WordPress and WooCommerce are updated to their latest available versions. If a database update is required you can use the tool “Update database” under Tools.

    If the problem persists, kindly contact us with the following for further checks:

    • System Status: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

    Hi,

    I cleared transients, temporary datas and check the base database tables.
    Nothing changed.
    The theme is storefront yet, and there is no more plugins actived exept woocommerce.

    Hey @crobrw,

    Thanks for sharing your System Status.

    I really find this a bit unusual. Please make sure you have a full backup in place and update WooCommerce core and database to version 5.7.1. Also, please update Storefront to 3.9.1 and check again.

    If the problem persists with updated software and with a basic configuration of Storefront theme and only WooCommerce active, please open up a new issue in Github here:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/new/choose

    WooCommerce developers will be able to check this further and provide guidance for you.

    Hello,

    There is a way to force the search by title only ?
    Woocommerce product search and Woocommerce related product search have different results.

    Could it be possible to replace the both logic ?

    Alternatively, to change the built-in logic, you would need to contact one of the services on https://woocommerce.com/customizations/
