Related Posts not appearing

    Hi all!

    We have the related posts feature enabled on our WordPress MS site, but for some reason the related posts segment is not appearing. I’ve noticed from other posts that you can diagnose this via the relatedposts=1 API endpoint, which I can confirm for us (or me at least) is currently returning the ‘items’ as null/empty array.

    I’ve run a check of the site locally with the theme reset to twenty and various plugins removed, and still experience the same issue (although I’m not sure it works on localhost?). The related posts segment appears in customiser, but on the front-end nothing appears.

    Based on other posts on the topic I think a manual reload needs to be done? I’ve checked the wordpress.com dashboard and can’t see if there’s a way for me to initiate it, so if you guys could do it (or point me to it) that would be much appreciated.

    Hi @bredigitalproducts

    I’ve run a manual reload from our end to sync your site properly, but it seems to me that the link you’ve shared is already returning a couple of items correctly.

    I can also see that Related Posts is currently disabled on your site. Could you go ahead and enable it again?

    – Jetpack Dashboard → Settings →Traffic

    Let us know when this is done and if it works!

    Hi @muffinpeace (great username!),

    It was empty when I submitted the ticket, so sounds like the synchronisation must’ve occurred between me submitting and you checking the system. Thank you for the manual reload, it’s much appreciated!

    The setting is actually on, but I’m assuming because it had no entries in the items list it refused to show. I can see that now the list is populating, indeed the related posts segment now appears on the website.
