[resolved] Related posts - move to under comments form and change heading (7 posts)

    Hi Guys,

Is there a filter I can use to move where the related posts module displays in my theme. I want to put it after the comments and form.

I'd also like to change the word "Related" to "Related Posts" but can live without that if it's not possible.

As a bit of feedback, I find it odd that there is a checkbox for the Heading under settings->reading when a text field would make more sense - an empty text field would be the same as an unchecked box (i.e. no heading displayed). Then admins could define their own heading easily...

    Hi,

Currently, it isn't possible to move it under the comment form.

For changing the headline, we have a snippet you can add to a core functionality plugin or your theme's functions.php file at http://jetpack.me/support/customize-related-posts/#headline

    Cheers!

It would be great if there were a template tag to be able to place the block of related posts.

Agreed, being able to insert the related post block would make life much easier

We haven't tested this specifically, but in JP 3.0, there is a shortcode for related posts now.

As long as it is within the Loop, something like `do_shortcode( '[jetpack-related-posts]'); and unhooking the original filter should work in theory.

    Cheers!

Brandon, would you be able to provide an example of
    unhooking the original filter?

I've added the shortcode below the_content in my page template (and still within the loop) and the related posts display in the original location.

However, when I add the shortcode above the_content, the related posts display where I expect them.

    Howdy,

We added this snippet to our site at http://jetpack.me/support/related-posts/customize-related-posts/#delete

    Does that help?
