How do I get rid of the Related Content by Zemanta in the WordPress post editor? It is incredibly distracting and I didn't choose to have it but after the last update it is there.
My blog is at: http://www.happyindulgencebooks.com
Hey, thanks for reaching out, I'll gladly help!
Well, we added that widget in the create-new-post page for our users to find and include quality, related posts from around the web in their newly composed blog posts. It works great with the ones you are already using, but I can also understand if you wish not to have them available.
The only suggestion I can offer you at the moment is to revert to the previous version of our plugin (please mind that the v2.7 is the one you're looking for), which was widget-free. You can get it under the 'Developers' tab on our WordPress Plugin Directory page. Here's the link: http://wordpress.org/plugins/related-posts/developers/ [ link replaced, do not use short links here ]
I sincerely hope you'll find your way around that widget and that you will like our new addition, but I can completely understand if you wish to revert to the previous stage of our plugin. Either way, do let me know what you think or if you have any more questions what-so-ever — I'll gladly help you out!
Take care & have a nice weekend!
Thank you for your quick reply and solution :)
Glad I could be of any help, really!
As always — if you have any other questions regarding our service, please do not hesitate to let me know! I'll gladly help!
Take care & have a nice weekend ahead!
Thanks. I had the same issue. Downgraded to 2.7.4 and it seems to be gone.
Could you provide a way to disable it via the settings panel in the next version?
Hey Luke, sure thing, we are working hastily to bring you an updated version with this feature set as optional. Please bear with us, it shouldn't take us too long.
And please do let us know if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can help you with, since I'll do it gladly!
Take care & have a nice day!
