Instead of using comments, I would like to have a section in that area title “Related Articles” where I can link to other articles (Pages) on my site. Is there a plugin for this? I’m extremely new to PHP so bear with me. I really appreciate all the help everyone has given me today.
A rule of thumb, use Google first. With a small Google search for ‘wordpress related plugin’ you would find a countless amount of results.
Which would bring you here.. http://www.w-a-s-a-b-i.com/archives/2004/05/26/wordpress-related-entries-plugin/
Everything you need is on that page for what you’re looking for.
If you run into any problems, you should read over the comments on that page as I’m sure someone else has already ran into the same problem you might be having. After reading over those comments and you haven’t fixed your problem (if you have any), you should post a comment on that site for help.
CG-Related is how I do things on CHAITGEAR — look at any major post, and there’s usually a Related Posts section in the left sidebar. It can just as easily be echoed after the post body (my sidebars are both after the post body…). However, it is a manual process of linking what are the related posts to ‘this specific post’, rather than some word-match or other automated machine-selected process.
Some people have also just used something like CG-SameCat, which can echo a list of articles from the same category as the current post (or, frankly, a list of articles from a specific category could just be put in the normal sidebar as well…).
