# Reinstall

 * Hi,
 * I searched the forum and found some questions about reinstalling, but no resolved
   ones.
 * So, I had my wp installed in a sub directory, but things with my theme didn’t
   work properly so I erased all files and put in new ones in root, thinking that
   this would reset everything and I could reinstall wp. But now it says that it’s
   already installed and I can no longer log in.
 * What do I do?

 * WP tells me to clear my database. How do I do this? I deleted all files again
   and uploaded new files, fresh from the downloaded .zip-folder.

 * I did this, and now it works.
 * “Change the $table_prefix in wp-config.php from the default wp_
    to something
   like wpblog_ then install wordpress”
