I created a site and the last thing I did was add Nextgen and create a bunch of galleries which went just fine, all works as it should. But now, whenever I try to add a photo to any page (not to a Nextgen gallery, just adding a photo to a regular page using the standard WordPress Media uploader) I get an error message “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” Note that if I leave the page and go look in the media library, then the photo appears there. So it actually IS uploading the photos. But I can’t see them in the media gallery for the page unless I leave the page entirely and come back. This is no bueno.

I disabled all plugins and added them back one by one until I found the culprit – Nextgen. If I disable NextGen, i can upload photos again. Enable it – I get the error message again.

    HALP!

Adding: When I go to Media and upload images there in the multi-file uploader, it uploads and says it is crunching, but never finishes crunching. But if I use the browser uploader instead, it actually works.

@websydaisy – Do you see the same issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

Same problem with stock theme. I think compatibility problem with new version.

Yes, what lupet92 said, theme does not seem to matter.

@websydaisy – Do you see the same issue if you use a default WordPress Twenty series theme and start with NextGEN Gallery as the first plugin you re-activate?

    – Cais.

Yes, I tried that and it still has the same issues.
