• Seemingly randomly Wordfence will start filling up my error logs with:

[23-Nov-2016 21:35:46 UTC] Error reading Wordfence Firewall config data, configuration file could be corrupted or inaccessible. Path: C:\wwwroot\site_path/wp-content/wflogs/config.php

This happens across multiple sites with no (seeming) rhyme or reason. When I see it I go in and delete the config file and it recreates and the error stops. After a while (days/weeks) it comes back. There is no visible impact on the site operation, but on the higher traffic sites there is a line for every page view.

    Any ideas?

Windows Server 2012, varying PHP versions (different sites).

  • Hi jungalist,
perhaps the owner of the file is incorrectly set due to a cron job that runs wp cron directly via PHP? If so you should be able to fix it by setting that job to run via curl. This is more in line with how wp-cron was intended to work within WordPress.

Let me know if that helps!
