 * Have you set the Membership Options Page?
 * Is this new user a free subscriber?
 * Have you checked that you are allowing Open Registration?

 * I have a membership option page (clled something else)
 * I have no free subscribers. And yes it is when I use the link to the registration
page. It goes only to log in and tells in the top of the window that it cannot
   take in new subscribers.
 * I do not allow open registration.
 * It worked last week, but now I changed theme, and also had a plugin called theme
my login (or something like that). I deleted it to see if that helped, but no.

 * That was going to be my next question. First, try changing themes. If you still
have the problem, then I’d suspect a plugin conflict. Try deactivating all other
plugins and see if that solves the problem. If it does, turn the plugins back
on by one and test until you find the culprit.
 * If still no good, I’d revisit that Theme My Login plugin. I have never had good
experiences with it, and I always recommend avoiding it. It might be that you
need not only to uninstall it, but to get rid of anything it left behind in the
   database.

 * Could it be something that is wrong with this link? [](http://www.frontfix.com/wp-login.php?action=register)
 * I don’t have the page in my pages, and it is not showing up if people are trying
to go to content which they have’nt signed up for.

 * Here is another clue.. I now places a login widget in the footer.. When pressing
register it takes me to the option page. When clicking on a button there I get
stuck, be course i suppose I’m blocked out from the upcoming content, which is
the payment gateway.. But still no registration process, as it would normally
   do before paying

 * As I suggested, try looking for a theme or plugin conflict.

 * Hm.. Deleted everything. Reinstalled the theme and s2member. Still saying users
are not allowed to register.. Any more ideas?

 * Have you checked whether Theme My Login has left anything behind in the database?

 * You need to be more specific. I installed a new wordpress installation and used
a new MySQL database which I’ve made for that purpuse. If it it that plugin that
is hunting me, where should I look, and for what?

 * If you have set up a completely new installation — not just deleted and reinstalled
themes and s2Member — then you won’t have database fragments from other plugins
   to bug you.
 * Have you gone to your ordinary WordPress `Settings -> General` menu and checked“
   Anyone can register”?

 * * Note: The s2Member plugin has control over two options on this page.
    Anyone
Can Register = 0, and New User Default Role = subscriber. For further details,
see: s2Member ⥱ General Options ⥱ Open Registration.
 * I’ve put it now so it accepts level 0 members.. It works 🙂 but I do not really
want that, since you can only do something if you have been paying to get in.

I’m trying to make it like this:
 * Price table = Any button should go to the register page (haven’t made any links,
but maybe to a secure page to provoke a registration popup?), and THEN to the
option page (Since that is public no matter what, anyone can go there without
registration?) The option page has to consist of 8 links to the 8 different payment
gateways be course of the 8 different products.
 * The problem is that no where when I try in another browser does the registration
form pop up to tell me to sign up -> then choose the payment plan -> then go
to either account-1 page, or account-2 Welcome page.

 * [@frontfix](https://wordpress.org/support/users/frontfix/),
 * Now I see your problem. You have a very specific idea of what you want, and s2Member
doesn’t work like that, so you think there’s a problem when there isn’t.
 * An important rule when using WordPress is work _with_ the plugins you use. Don’t
fight them. If you find yourself fighting a plugin, then either your mindset
or the plugin has to change!
 * In fact, s2Member has a very logical flow here. You can have a price table with
buttons. A user who clicks on a button gets sent to PayPal to pay, and is then
returned to your site to complete registration. The Membership Options Page plays
   no part in this process.
 * Of course, if you upgrade to Pro, payment and registration can be integrated
into one for a much more streamlined experience.

 * 1. I really appreciate you taking your time to assist me here!
 * 2. I understand now that it might seem a bit confusing. I’m actually working
according to how s2member is guiding in documentation, articles and of course
in the plugin it self. I’m using Stripe. I understand that I need an option page,
that’s why i made it with 8 buttons (be course stripe can only have one payment
gateway on the each site), all linked to a different price and service. i’m still
confused about where the registration page comes in. By default s2member is set
to first take registration and then payment. It just seems like that is not working
correctly. I would of course think that it’s ideal to have just the pricing tables,
and then link people on to the payment, and somehow they register, but then what
is the purpose of the option site. On the other hand the sites for payment should
be protected so that non-user cannot try to pay for a service without signing
up as a user with their personal information. I haven’t read anywhere anything
about Stripe taking the user to the registration page after payment?
 * I hope that makes sense.

 * If you have Stripe, you must have the Pro version. In that case, payment and
registration should all be done just using one form. So there won’t be any need
to take the user to register after payment because the payment form is also the
   registration form.
 * In other words, once the user pays, s/he is registered.

 * Where do I do that? Have’nt seen anywhere how to ‘merge’ those to options (Stripe
and registration page). I was working with registration, then it went to option
page, and from there people had to choose which option, before paying.
 * Now i’m thinking that maybe the option page should be the pricing table? And
If I can do like you say, each of the 8 buttons should take the customer to a
site with an individiual Stripe script/Registration form on?
 * I mentioned earlyer that i’ve set it up with the account-1, -2, That is be course
I have 4 different monthly payment options who can only see a button on the Welcome
page after 90 days (Using [Drip]) and 4 different yearly payments who can view
   the button after 21 days.
