PLUGINS: SABRE, CIMY extra fields, email smtp, theme my login, login configurator, new user approvee

Hi, building and testing a brand new site and not sure where or when I went wrong with this as I tested the functionality of registration before going live.

Anyway, now when I enter data in the reg form, the next screen is completely blank and nothing happens. If I refresh, it goes to a screen saying that the email/username has already been used

If I log into the admin section, there are no new users at all, and the user doesnt get the email (email does work, I tested)

The one thing I changed recently to the registration is maybe moving the theme-my-login template into the theme directory as described in the template in order to change the reg page. I undid that but it still doesnt work.

I have tried de-activating and activating plugins.

I am still learning about php and wordpress, please could someone tell me what files I should poke around in? or any other ideas?

thanks for any help, I’ll check back in the morning

One more thing – I did a backup earlier today – could I use files from there to replace only the ones relevant to the register process?

Wow, is all of that necessary? Sabre should be okay. But those other five do similar functions which are redundant and may be causing issues. (I also heard that the New User Approve doesn’t work correctly.)

Deactivate CIMY, Email SMTP, Theme My Login, Login Configurator, and New User Approve. Activate the default twentyten or twentyeleven theme.

If you’re still having issues, you’ll need to remove the related database relationships associated with those deactivated plugins. Probably in your wp_options table. MAKE SURE you back up your database before attempting any edits within it.

It might work if you also did a backup of your database.

    Thanks for the help

Unfortunately I think I need all those plugins, they all have slightly different features.

I will try the tips you pointed out, thanks again
