[Resolved] Registration page form

  • Hi I am currently working with a friend on creating a site that instead of a ‘username’ field in the registration that the user is asked to input a ‘GUI Number’ I am not looking to change how it works but I would just like to be able to change the text for ‘Username’. Can anyone tell me how to change this or which file I would have to alter in order to achieve this! Help would be GREATLY apreciated! Thanks.

You really should not change it in the plugin. That will just require you to re-do your changes if you update the plugin.

There are several filter hooks available in the plugin so you could filter the field label using the appropriate filter.

    • wpmem_register_form for the registration form
    • wpmem_login_form for the login form
    • wpmem_sidebar_form for the sidebar login form

You can use the php str_replace function in your filter function to replace the string that you want to replace.

There’s an example of using the wpmem_register_form filter here.

Documentation on all of the filter hooks in the plugin is here.
