    Hello Alberto,

    For some reason the registration functionality on https://enhansum.com has started not to work properly. This appears to be a recent problem as everything was fine before. Now when a user wants to register then all initial steps work properly and the user is told that a verification e-mail will be sent but no e-mail is actually received. On checking the Users list in WP, that user does appear but with No Role while new user role should be Subscriber. That account also cannot be logged in while all previous accounts work well. I am not sure why this behavior has appeared while everything was fine just a couple of days ago. No new plugins etc. have been installed.

    Hello again Alberto,

    Further investigation shows that if I choose the option of logging in after registration (instead of verifying e-mail after registration) then there is no problem. In that case the user is properly registered with default Subscriber role and can log in and log out as desired. It is just the option with verify e-mail after registration that is not working. Any insight on this will be greatly appreciated. I have temporarily switched to the log in after registration option so that the registration and log in functionality for new users is at least working but I would prefer to use the verify e-mail option, as before.

    Also, could you tell me what does the Remember me? checkbox on the log in form do? If I check it then during the next log in attempt I still have to enter all of the log in credentials so I am not sure what difference it makes.

    Hi Faiz, are you receiving the emails after registration?

    “Remember me” means not to close the session after closing the browser.

    Good to hear from you! No e-mails were not being received after registration. Right now I have configured the plugin for immediate login after registration so it is normal that no e-mails are being sent on registration at this time.
