I have noticed an issue with WordPress, or maybe someone can help me find an obvious solution.
I’ve noticed that when I create a new user from the admin dashboard, I’m asked to create their password and send them an email notification with the password.
However, the newly added user gets an email that has a link for them to set their own password. When they go to the link, the new user has to create a new password by using the “forgot password” link.
If I’m missing something, could someone please advise. Otherwise, if there is a core WordPress developer who is seeing this, maybe there can be a fix to registering a new user. As a suggestion, we can choose to send the user a “reset password” link instead of creating for them a password.
