Hello mcaravaglia,
The first is when the Login, or Registration pages are displayed, the forms are also appearing in a footer widget, which makes absolutely no sense to me.
Can you try switching to default WordPress theme like twenty seventeen and see if this issue still occurs? This looks like theme conflict. I’m testing this on my site and I can’t replicate it.
I want them to go directly to the form. I seem unable to do this.
You can use direct link to free membership – that link is generated by [ms-membership-buy id=”69″] shortcode where id is your membership ID. You can find it on membership list
kind regards,
Kasia
Thank you Kasia. This issue does not seem to present itself with the 2017 theme; only my installed theme. Any thoughts on what I should do; perhaps contact the Theme developer?
Also, in regard to the Shortcode for the Subscribe button, I am unsure how to generate a link from this I can use to attach to my Register Menu button to go directly to the register fields. Can you advise please.
Michael
Kasia,
I found the solution to the forms appearing in the footer. It was a conflict with a plugin that I did not need, and thus eliminated.
I still do not know how to use the short code to place in a menu item to get the user directly to the Register page and bypass the Membership page, please advise.
I have two additional issues, I am hoping you can assist with?
1) I seem to be having a problem with a bot that is registering hundreds of (spam) users on the site every day. I’d like to be able to turn off the WordPress Registration and force all Registration through Membership2; however, disabling “Settings/General/Allow anyone to register” also affects the ability to Register through Membership2. Any workaround you are aware of for this?
2) I added reCaptcha to the Registration and Login pages. I wanted a simple checkbox for “I am not a Robot”, however, this plugin also seems to force the user to go through two sets of verification screens, which is a bit over the top. Are you aware of any way to make it simple.
Kasia,
I still have not heard back on my last post from 5 days ago, hoping you can help. Please let me know. Tx.
Michael
Hello Michael
My apologies for the delay!
I still do not know how to use the short code to place in a menu item to get the user directly to the Register page and bypass the Membership page, please advise.
Please create a new registration page, add the membership’s subscribe button shortcode in there. Then navigate to Appearance > Menus, and add this page to the main menu.
1) I seem to be having a problem with a bot that is registering hundreds of (spam) users on the site every day.
Try the Stop Spammers Spam Prevention plugin; it prevent regoistration soam, comments spams and spam login attempts.
2) I added reCaptcha to the Registration and Login pages
Would you please share a link to this plugin here so we could have a look? You can try as well, other Captcha plugins. Here are the most commonly used:

Hope this helps!

Nastia
Thank you for using Membership. I am going to mark this topic resolved because we haven’t heard from you in awhile. If this issue was not resolved we can reopen it. Thanks again!
