registration emails not received ; delete events page header

When someone registers, there is a message for them to check their email. No email is ever received. So they can’t log in to create an event.

How to remove the event-o-matic header from the page? I have the page listed in my navigation and the EOM shows a second header. I’d like to delete it.

I hope there is support for this, there doesn’t seem to be much action recently on this support thread, and the creator’s website is kaput. 🙁
