  • I’m trying to figure out why emails are not being received by new registrants. Now, I admit that I’ve installed a bunch of anti-spam plugins and such because we were having major issues with horrendous numbers of spam registrations to our Buddy-Press area. So I suppose that one of those may be causing this? But I really don’t think so since I have actually noticed this issue on a couple of non-buddypress sites that I’ve built as well.

  • Thoughts. It could be one of those plugins but it could also be the user’s email address. What have you done to check either of these?

    Well, I’ve tried with my own email address, which I know is correct in the system. I honestly have not tried turning off many plugins to test in that regard – mainly because the sites that I’m finding this issue don’t really have identifiable common plugins that might be doing this.

    Okay – but are the emails from the same provider? If you don’t test by turning off the plugins then the next level is too look for patterns with the email addys of the users. Maybe blacklisted email servers.

    It happens with MY email! Which is always from the same provider. I don’t know about my other users. For all but one of my sites, I’m the only user. But I will ask if there’s been more than 1 user from that other site that’s had any issues not receiving the lost password emails and such.

    Oh! Sorry. Still the same. Have you checked to see if you email domain is blacklisted? Could also be that your recips have spam filters that are catching your email.
