  • Security begins with “hardening WordPress”…

…and opening your site to registration only requires checking “Anyone can register” at your Dashboard and adding the Meta widget somewhere.

Sorry man, I am beginner at this WordPress thing.
I am looking to just have a visitor to my website be able to subscribe to my site, so they can get my latest blog posts and or product posts using WooCommerce.
What do I need to do to make this happen?

WooCommerce offers a separate way for users to register on your site through the My Account page, though the wp-login.php form still works. The “Anyone can register” setting just needs to be checked in General Settings. Normally anyone can read your posts, registered or not.

To subscribe to posts, you just need to provide a link to your RSS feed somewhere. If WP is in your site’s root, the link is yoursite.com/feed/. Subscribers will get your new posts in their feed reader. People can subscribe without being registered. If you want a feed for new products, it’s a separate feed. The link would likely be yoursite.com/product/feed/ but I’m unsure if you need to do something special to enable this or if it just works. If there’s something special, I don’t know what that would be, sorry.
