    My site is at

The site was recently migrated, and I noticed that Jetpack Publicize was not working today. I deactivated the plug-in, and reactivated, and now I get an “Jetpack could not contact register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host. Couldn’t resolve host ‘'” error.

I have seen this error mentioned, but it always says to start a new thread with your specific error in those posts. So that is what I am doing.

Any idea on how I can fix this? Thanks.

  • p.s. I should mentioned everything was working fine before the migration. No plug-ins were conflicting, and Publicize was working fine.

Jeremy, I seem to have got things working. I erases the plug-in, and reinstalled, which still didn’t work. I erased it again, then uploaded through FTP instead of the WordPress uploader. At that point I stopped getting those errors.
