• Hello,
I´m running a page with a lot of photos. I have a complete WP installation, and I don´t want to migrate all the photos to the /uplods folder. I think, its a better solution for future use to store the in separate webspace/subdomain.
I have configured upload folder and the upload path in settings -> media library correctly. Its psossible to register files with “Add from Server” – Plugin. But this plugin don´t support folders, so it needs lot of human input to register all files. But the the plugin “Media from FTP” don´t work at all, it doesn´t recognize the url and the path of the subdomain correctly:
Warning: scandir(/www/htdocs/wxxxx/wordpressxxxx//www/htdocs/w000000/wp_media/2013): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /www/htdocs/w000000/wordpressxxxx/wp-content/plugins/media-from-ftp/inc/MediaFromFtp.php on line 88

The uploads folder can be changed in wp-config.php.

I think that media files should be in the uploads folder.
If you can “Add from Server”, I think it is good.
I think that plug-ins should be complement each other.
