Do I have to create a registration form myself? If so, what role do I give them?
Oh and when somepne adds a new listing, does it go straight on, does it send a notification to the administrator and can I set it so that it doen’t go on until it is authorized?
You don’t need to create any registration form. If you turn on Require Registration under Directory Admin->Manage Options, Registration tab, that will take care of it when someone attempts to post a new listing.
The new listings can be set to any status you want, which allows you to review them prior to posting. “Pending Review” is the one you would want under the Listings tab as the status to set new listings to. At this time, you don’t get automatically notified of new listings, but we plan to add that in the future to BD.
I have Require Login ticked and when someone goes to submit a listing without being logged in they get the message
You are not currently logged in. Please login or register first. When registering, you will receive an activation email. Be sure to check your spam if you don’t see it in your email within 60 minutes.
and are presented with a login screen. There is no link on the register text, how do they regsiter?
Below the “Login” button, I see a “Not yet registered?” link on my site: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/business-directory/?action=submitlisting
Are you running 184.108.40.206? Have you modified any of the templates for BD in the past? If so, can you check to see if your registration/login template needs updating? That’s an old bug we fixed some time ago, but if you failed to update the custom template, it would be the problem.
It is on a fresh install of wordpress 3.5 and 220.127.116.11 of the plugin. No other plugins active.
Can I get a link to that Submit Listing screen?
I was wondering if there is any way you can change the “not yet registered?” link to go to another page instead of the wordpress wp-login page? If so I would greatly appreciate if that can be changed as my client doesn’t want any users to see the wp-login page for registration.
The only way to do this right now is to change the login page template under wp-content/plugins/business-directory-plugin/templates/parts/login-required.tpl.php.
thanks for the reply!
do I change this?
<a href="<?php echo site_url('wp-login.php?action=register', 'login'); ?>"><?
if so what do I change to redirect to another page?
