Support » Plugin: WordPress SEO Plugin - Rank Math » Regex redirect from Redirection plugin not working

    Hi.

I’ve been using the Redirection plugin for all the URL changes and 301 redirects. Working fine until now.

I started using the Rank Math redirection module importing the Redirection settings with the wizard. It did good with the normal redirects but the Regex redirects failed to import. Tried copying manually the expressions but it throws an error.

The expression I wanted to do is to redirect all posts with the format http://website/year/month/postname to http://website/postname. I’m not an expert so I found this expression for source: ^/\d{4}/\d{2}/(.*) target: /$1/ that worked perfect in Redirection but not in Rank Math. I thought that expressions were universal.

    Any help?

    Hello @zaparl

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

It seems like an issue with the escaping in the plugin and it will be fixed soon.

We will be releasing an update in the coming week to fix this issue.

In the meantime, you can continue using the older plugin.

We seek your patience and understanding in this matter.

    That’s great to hear!

Thanks for your quick answer. I’ll do what you said and looking forward to that update.

    Cheers!
