# Regarding PHP version Update in WordPress

 * Hello,
    how can we update the php version in WordPress which is hosted on Microsoft
   Azure? Any help would be appreciated

 * I don’t know anything about Azure but the PHP upgrade process is done via the
   web server and isn’t a part of WordPress itself.
 * WordPress is written to take advantage or even require a certain version of PHP
   but that is up to your web host to provide that.
 * Contact your hosting provider for more help.
 * Let us know if you need more info or help yet but we are limited in what we can
   do about this process.
