Hello there!
It seems like you’re encountering an issue with the email validation process on your site. The message “Sorry! The link is invalid.” typically indicates that there might be a mismatch or an issue with the validation link being generated.
Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
- First, ensure that the email template containing the validation link is set up correctly. Double-check the link URL in the email template to ensure it is pointing to the correct validation endpoint on your site.
- Verify that your site’s email sending settings are configured properly. Sometimes, email deliverability issues can cause links to be broken or invalid. Ensure that emails are being sent from the correct sender address and that there are no restrictions or errors in your email sending configuration.
- Manually test the validation link provided in the email to ensure it is working as expected. Try accessing the link from a different browser or device to rule out any browser-specific issues.
- Deactivate any plugins or themes that might be interfering with the email validation process. Sometimes, conflicts between plugins or themes can cause issues with validation links not working properly.
- Check your site’s error logs for any relevant error messages or warnings that might provide insight into why the validation links are not working. Error logs can often point you in the right direction when troubleshooting technical issues.
I hope these suggestions help you resolve the issue.
Thank you
Hi @markaceves,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’d like to point that the form on https://terraeast.com/registration/ is not from WPForms. In case you’re having issues with a form from WPForms Lite, please let me know the URL to check it.
I’d like to let you know that we have a feature to validate an email address in our Form Locker addon. As this addon is part of the paid version of WPForms, in case you have details about it, could you please drop us a line through our contact page when you get the chance?
You’re welcome to just include a link to this post, if you’d prefer to do that.
I apologize that we’re not able to respond to paid version questions here in the WordPress.org support forums for the free version, but I really appreciate your help!
Thanks!
Hi @markaceves,
We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further with WPForms Lite, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks!
Apologies Ralden, i have been working on multiple sites and got my plugins mixed up in my head. Ok so what I need help with is my newsletter signup email field in the lower right hand of the footer at http://www.terraeast.com . I would like users to be able to just hit “enter” to submit their email address since the theme came as is. Is that possible?
Hi @markaceves,
Actually, the expected action if you hit the Enter button on your keyboard is the form to be submitted.
Looking at the form in the footer on https://terraeast.com/, it is not from WPForms.
I’d suggest adding a test form on a test page, clicking on any field, and hitting the Enter button. Or the form will be submitted, or it will show a validation message in case required fields were not filled out.
Thanks!
