    I’ve setup OpenTickets and tested it with a few test sales that I then refunded. The refunded tickets did not release the seats back into the general admission pool. I refunded from the order detail page.

    How do you refund a ticket so that the seats are released?

    @jshaffstall Good question.

    The refund process does not automatically release the seats. Here’s why:

    Let’s say you have 4 tickets in an order. For some customer service issue, like they need a refund to card but are paying by cash, or you refund 2 of 4 tickets.

    In either case, we don’t release the seats automatically on refund.

    However it is easy to do so.

    1. Please the order in On Hold status and Save.
    2. On the ticket line items, either use the checkboxes to ‘delete line items’ or use the now available [x] that shows to the right of the line items. This releases the seats immediately.
    3. Place the order into whatever status you want (perhaps Refunded) and Save again

    That should solve the issue. Let us know if any other issues.
