    Hello,

I am designing a business directory site similar to YP or Angie’s List and I need to add a featured image to each business listing depending on what industry they are in. For example, if the business is a pizza place I would need a pizza as the featured image or a toilet for a plumber. I am using a custom taxonomy “Listing Category” to separate the businesses based on industry.

Currently the only options available to select which post/page to add the featured image to is by Post Type Filter, Category Filter and Tag Filter but none of these options search through custom page types or taxonomies and if I simply select “pages” then all of the business will have the same image. The ability is available in the “Preset Featured Images” section where you can choose a taxonomy and a value of the selected taxonomy, but for some reason it isn’t available in the “Set, Replace or Remove” section.

I need the ability to filter custom page types based on custom taxonomy so my question is, how can I add a “Taxonomy Filter” to the Set, Replace or Remove section? Can I simply copy the code from the Preset Featured Images section into the Set, Replace, Remove section?

    Thanks.

You can get these options and more in the premium version of the plugin. Go to Quick Featured Images Pro.

The premium version comes with these filters for bulk editing featured images:

    1. Filter by post type: Search by post types
    2. Filter by multimedia type: Search for audio and video files
    3. Filter by status: Search by several statuses (published, draft, private etc.)
    4. Filter by search: Search by search term
    5. Filter by time: Search by time specifications
    6. Filter by author: Search by author
    7. Filter by custom taxonomy: Search by terms of registered taxonomies of a plugin or a theme
    8. Filter by featured image size: Search for small featured images below a given size
    9. Filter by category: Search posts by category
    10. Filter by tag: Search posts by tag
    11. Filter by parent page: Search child pages by parent page

I hope your desired options are among them and will save you much time.

Okay thanks Martin. Is there a way to do a free trial before I purchase to make sure it does what I need? Or if not then do you offer refunds if I purchase and it doesn’t work for me?

    Thanks.

There is no free trial (hey, look at the low price and compare that with the time and money you would save!). But there is a money-back-guarantee for 14 days since purchase if the plugin would not work for you.
