referrer_link() – show only the term

Thank you very much for a useful plugin!
I have a question regarding referrer_link().
when using referrer_link() i get a breadcrumb of taxonomy>>term but the link leads just to the term.
how can i get to display ONLY the term? and drop the tax from the displayed link?
